this is really interesting. someone is selling the exact same poster (mine is framed) that I have on ebay at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/GRATEFUL-DEAD-BARTON-HALL-CORNELL-FILLMORE-ERA-POSTER_W0QQitemZ160049596366QQihZ006QQcategoryZ29920QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

For $1400 bucks! They also have what they think is an explanation of what happened with the show being cancelled.

$1400 ?!!!
i sure wish i could go back to 77 or 78 when i tossed out my box of 1969 Rolling Stone Magazine's (Jan thru Sept)
And i don't even want to mention the 20 or so 69-70's Bill Graham handbills i tossed.

Ouch! Maggy and I kept everything. The little matchbooks w/ tour or venue dates. Hell, I've got a cup-o-soup container(the box that goes around the cup, not the cup) which contains a set-list and drug-induced drawing of Jerry.

I have a couple of back-stage passes and many doo-dads and beads from Mardi Gras and Chinese New Year shows. Even BASS ticket envelopes w/ Jack In The Box Coupons still attached.....why???

the 9/4/77 story does make some sense. They were in Englishtown and there were no shows for weeks after that. Sept '76 does not appear likely...
